Flower of Carmel is a sacred contemplative chamber–folk project rooted in Carmelite spirituality, Eucharistic devotion, silence, surrender, and the hidden life offered entirely to God. Inspired by the spirituality surrounding the Hermit Sisters within the Diocese of Harrisburg, the project reflects themes found in the writings of Elijah, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and Sister Mary Catherine.
Built around layered female harmonies, modal movement, harmonium, organ, sacred chamber textures, and restrained instrumentation, the music seeks to create an atmosphere of hidden prayer rather than performance. These songs move through themes of silence, Eucharistic adoration, mystical union with Christ, Marian surrender, intercession, and the contemplative call to belong entirely to God.
